The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a globally recognized English test taken as a mandate to apply for overseas education or employment. IELTS is the only English test accepted by all four governments of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK.

The test is split into four sections: speaking, listening, reading, and writing
The listening test will take around 30 minutes. After listening to four recorded texts, you will write answers to a series of questions.
The reading test will take around 60 minutes, consisting of 40 questions.
The writing test will take around 60 minutes, which includes a descriptive activity and writing an essay.
The speaking test takes around 11 to 14 minutes, and is in the form of a face-to-face interview. This portion of the test is used to assess the candidate’s spoken English level.
